Scott Hensgens is Breazeale, Sachse & Wilson’s Managing Partner, and practices in the firm’s Baton Rouge office. Scott dedicates his practice to Intellectual Property matters, which includes heavy concentration on the representation of businesses and individuals in trademark and copyright registration and litigation. Scott has handled state and federal litigation involving various intellectual property matters, as well as numerous proceedings before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). A significant portion of his practice is dedicated to negotiating and drafting various types of intellectual property-related agreements, including: trademark and copyright license agreements, software license agreements, software as a service (SaaS) agreements, hosting services agreements, master service agreements, naming rights agreements, domain name license agreements, assignment agreements, talent release agreements, work-for-hire agreements, and confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements.

Represented automobile dealers in various types of lawsuits, ranging from redhibition claims to Fair Credit Reporting Act and Truth-in-Lending Act claims.
Represented a nationwide insurance company on numerous claims involving life, health and disability policies, during which time several claims have been disposed of on summary judgment.
Represented a nationwide distributor of heavy machinery in various redhibition actions in Louisiana and Texas.
