Druit G. Gremillion, Jr. is a Partner in the Baton Rouge office practicing in the area of Casualty Litigation. Druit has devoted a significant portion of his practice to representing law enforcement agencies against Section 1983 claims and other civil rights litigation. He also has extensive experience defending public entities and public accommodations against claims of discrimination under the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Rehabilitation Act, and the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. His principal areas of practice also include medical malpractice defense, premises liability, and general insurance defense (including automobile insurance, personal liability insurance and commercial liability insurance). Druit also has significant experience representing clients before both state and federal courts of appeal.
Druit attended Louisiana State University and obtained a bachelor’s degree in the field of political science, with a minor in history. Druit then received his Juris Doctorate and Graduate Diploma in Civil Law from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University, where he was a member of the Louisiana Law Review, President of the Moot Court Board, and an officer in the Student Bar Association.
